Our approach to product feedback

Here at Power Factors, we take product feedback extremely seriously. We believe that listening to our customers, team members, and prospects - by taking their ideas on board - is a sure-fire way to build better products.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our products as efficiently as possible.


The benefits of giving us your product feedback

If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our products develop over time. It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best products we possibly can.

What happens to your product feedback

Our product teams meet regularly with the CSMs, to go through new ideas. Once we have verified that an idea isn’t already available in the system, and seems like a good idea, we change the status to Accepting Votes. Then more people can vote, prioritize, and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish impact & value.

If we decide to implement an idea, the status will change to Planned or In Development. When it’s done, the status will change to Delivered. Anyone who has submitted or voted on a specific request will be notified when the status of the request is updated. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

Unfortunately, not all requests are in line with our vision and strategy, so sometimes we reject them. When this happens, the status will be changed to Archived and we’ll add a note to let you know that it won’t be delivered.


How we choose what to implement

When we plan a release, we use many factors to help decide which suggestions to implement, including:

  • Customer feedback - there are many ways we listen for your feedback:
    formal customer interviews and other research activities
    events like conferences and trade shows
    comments and votes on issues here in Greenbyte & BluePoint Influence
  • CSM team insights - our CSM team knows which issues are the most challenging and most common for customers.
  • Product analytics - we track how users move through the system, which helps us understand how existing features are being used.
  • Product strategy - our long-term strategic vision for the products.
If you reach out directly to our support or customer success teams, they'll be able to look up the ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your item will be reviewed.


Custom applications

Sometimes you need functionality that is specific to your needs and not necessarily useful for other customers or in line with Power Factors strategic goals. These special requests are addressed through custom applications, which can be developed by you, using the Greenbyte API, by third-party partners, or by Power Factors for an additional fee. If you are interested in having a custom application built, contact your CSM.

  1. Tasks: The number of unresolved Tasks is extremely high and time consuming for us to close them and keep it clean.

    Our proposal is the possibility to set up a background process that resolves the tasks of a specific category automatically when they were not connected to any Active Status Event for more than a certain period of time (e.g. 30 days).

  2. Possible merging of tasks

    It would be helpful to be able to merge two tasks and as a result have a task containing the combined information (site accesses, status events, comments...). At the moment this has to be performed by hand which can take quite some time.

  3. Plan Task | New filters

    Maybe is a good idea to add the following filters to the Plan Tasks view in order to reduce the time resolving and looking for old/unused tasks.

    Filter 1:
    Tasks with Non Active status code/event.

    Filter 2:
    Tasks with Site access/without site access.

    We these 2 filters and with the time interval, we can be able to only show up tasks with the following conditions that we are looking to close:

    • Category: Repair
    • State: Unresolved
    • Filter 1: Non active events
    • Time intervals: (it will be nice if these options are also available)
    o more than 24…

  4. Additional Task Category

    Would it be possible to add a category "Miscellaneous" to the list of task categories. Right now there is one called unknown which sort of does the job. However, when displaying the tasks in our monthly reports to our customers, that particular category name might imply that we lack information regarding the subject. It would be preferable if something more neutral like "Miscellaneous" would exist.

  5. Reminder notifications for Tasks

    When using the Task module, a "Reminder" feature would send an email out to recipients a certain time in advance of important works going ahead e.g. an upcoming grid outage, to ensure they are prepared for the upcoming event.

    Good news: This is already possible! On your task categories, you can configure default reminders for the category. Those can be overridden on individual tasks.

  6. point out previous task with the same error

    Point out previous task with the same error
    For Example the encoder of a rotor blade doesn't work right. You send out a team that resets the encoder and it's working again and you close the task.
    A bit time passes and the encoder fails again. Then it would be nice to have an information which task include the same error and which task was the last task that solve the error.

  7. Search for Device Access by Procedure

    We would like to be able to search for specific device accesses in GreenByte using the procedure used such as the AWP or ROP in a similar way that we can search for tasks and site accesses.

  8. Align the filters between Overview and Tasks tabs

    Two filter options are missing from the Overview tab.
    It would be helpful to have filters “Assigned to” and “Reported by” also on the Overview tab and not only on the Tasks tab.

  10. Assign a task from a user to an administrator

    Within the default architecture of Breeze users can't assign tasks to an administrator.
    In order to work with a team, within our processes of asset management, it will be mandatory to assign tasks to eachother. To overcom the limitation of the system we have to make all team members an administrator. This is highly inconviniant.

    Please change the architecture so users can assign tasks to an administrator.

  11. Site Access Denial/Acceptance Decision Algorithm Tool

    Problem;
    Strategically determining whether to allow turbine stoppage based on typical criteria requires an overview in terms of the WTG's monthly yield performance, upcoming critical events (e.g. overspeed test)
    e.g. Refusing machine access for planned maintenance due to profitable wind only to discover the state mandated maintenance event is already overdue is to the detriment of all parties.
    (be it on Friday for week ahead planning or upon technician's call to OCC)
    Proposal
    Decision Algorithm (Breeze offers suggestion, operator makes decision) that offers a status for a sort of budget/wind forecast/ conformity triangle

  12. include task without start time

    We keep track of a lot of items that should be reolved in the turbines without knowing an exact start time of the task. This is a bit comparable to a snag list.

    It would be usefull to add this items as a task or snag list item without a specific start time.

    During site access this items should be linked to the and flagged if they are resolved

  13. Show mobile number if phone number is missing

    When registering personnel and only a mobile number is available under personnel administration no phone number appears in the register field.

    If a phone numer is missing the mobile number should appear instead. Most technicians only have a mobile numer and no phone numer so the phone numer also looks a bit unnecessary.

  14. show end time and duration when filtering status codes while adding them to a task

    When adding a status code to a task in the task itself you should be able to see the also the end time and duration. That way you can filter an add only task whit a long duration. Now the end time and duration is only visibla after you selected the status codes

  15. Work Order Number to be displayed in the Device Access

    A new column to be added between "ID" and "Transferred By" on the Site Access page showing the Work Order Number of the task.

  16. Create work parties and assign them to turbine as a team.

    Current setup requires assigning everybody on the work party one-by-one. It could be done much more faster by only assigning the work party to the turbine. This will also reduce the number of wrong records; such as booking only one person to the turbine.

  17. Show assignee username instead of 'user' on Plan-Tasks page

    When a Breeze user is selected in the task as assignee it is not shown on the Plan>Tasks page only the wordt user is shown (see attachment). In the task widget on the monitoring dashboard the username is properly shown. Please show the username as well on the Plan>Tasks page.

  18. Task | View | Download the full register of a task

    When you are in the view option in task - you can upload files at the buttom. When you want to send the files to the insurance for example - it would be handy if you can download the register for this task or then you can generate a download link for the insurance.

  19. Status categotrization throught the task (View)

    In the task view you can connect the status event with the task. It would be nice - if the categorisation of the task is connected to status categorisation. When there is no categorisation of the status event - it would be nice that it falls back on the task.

  20. Display all the site accesses for each person

    Now - in the personnel window it is only possible to see the date of the last assignment for each person. It would be nice - when clicking on the name of the person - to see the list of all the assignments with some details - especially the location.
