Our approach to product feedback

Here at Greenbyte, we take product feedback extremely seriously. We believe that listening to our customers, team members, and prospects - by taking their ideas on board - is a sure-fire way to build a better product.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our product as efficiently as possible.


The benefits of giving us your product feedback

If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our product develops over time. It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best product we possibly can.

What happens to your product feedback

Our product teams meet regularly to go through new requests. Once we have verified that a request isn’t already available in the system, we change the status to Accepting votes so that more people can vote, prioritize, and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish impact & value.

If we decide to build a request the status will change to Planned or Started. When it’s done, the status will change to Released. Anyone who has submitted or voted on a specific request will be notified when the status of the request is updated. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

Unfortunately, not all requests are in line with our vision and strategy, so sometimes we reject them. When this happens, the status will be changed to Archived and we’ll add a note to let you know that it won’t be delivered.


How we choose what to implement

When we plan a release, we use many factors to help decide which suggestions to implement, including:

  • Customer feedback - there are many ways we listen for your feedback:
    formal customer interviews and other research activities
    events like Greenbyte Forum conferences and trade shows
    comments and votes on issues in Greenbyte Influence
  • CSM team insights - our CSM team knows which issues are the most challenging and most common for customers.
  • Product analytics - we track how users move through the system, which helps us understand how existing features are being used.
  • Product strategy - our long-term strategic vision for the product.
If you reach out directly to our support or customer success teams, they'll be able to look up the ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your item will be reviewed.


Custom applications

Sometimes you need functionality that is specific to your needs and not necessarily useful for other customers or in line with Greenbyte’s strategic goals. These special requests are addressed through custom applications, which can be developed by you, using the Greenbyte API, by third-party partners, or by Greenbyte for an additional fee. If you are interested in having a custom application built, contact your CSM.

  1. Everyone who has access to Personnel can edit, delete and add new personnel

    The list of the personnel is available for the whole portfolio, it would be useful if we could split this list (considering the region or wind farm level), maybe using the Site induction or adding another fild in the registration.

    Moving the HSE box to the top of the log site access popup to improve visibility of ORs.

  3. Site/ Turbine Access - Operational Restriction (NO Access)

    Often, Operational Restrictions (ORs) are in place for sites and/ or turbines. Tehy have different severities. Sometimes, there is a complete "no access" due to safety risks in place. Unfortunately, currently such an "hard OR" cannot be visually distinguished from the other, "lighter" HSE or OR information during the log on procedure.

    Suggestion: Own (severe) category and calour (red) for ORs, which deny complete access to a site or turbine due to high safety risk. In addition,such ORs should always be on top of the HSE list during log on!

  4. Change overdue icon colour and make it flash so its not mistaken for an active stop fault

    Could you change the overdue icon colour to Yellow or Orange and make it flash if possible.
    Currently overdues are show in red and this can be mistaken as a stop fault when carrying out our duties.
    If this could be changed to a different colour and made to flash then it would make it easier to notice and less likely to be missed.
    Ive attached a screenshot of what an overdue red icon for reference.

  6. over due site/device access notification

    I think a feature that notifies us either audibly or via pop up box to site accesses that have gone overdue would be very useful so as to keep visitors as safe as possible while visiting our sites. it means we can then react quicker to over due situations and start the escalation process to reaching them to check on there welfare much quicker . Taking into account that a lot of the sites are in remote locations and so response times to possible accidents or injuries needs to be as quick as possible.

  7. HSE observations tick box so that operational can click each observation confirming it is read out

    a feature so that when the OC is reading out Hazard observations or operational restrictions there is a tick box to acknowledge each obeservation individually creating accountability and confirmation that all observations are read out by the OC this will eliminate observations being missed and read out to the technicians/persons entering site and making the work place as safe as possible to all reducing human error factor t of the OC to 0

  8. Get notification for an overdue in the Plan section

    In the Plan section suggest to get a notification if someone goes beyond the working end time.

  9. Make it possible to indicate a Task or HSE Event in the Plan section is "IN PROGRESS"

    Currently, tasks and HSE events in Greenbyte can only be designated as "Unresolved" or "Resolved". Being able to indicate that a task is in progress would make it possible to monitor how quickly action is being taken and ultimately closed out.

  10. Issue: "General site" pre-selected when creating task during log on process

    When creating a new task during the log on process "General Site" is (hiddenly) pre-selected and not the specific turbine(s) directly. That should be changed.

  11. Trainee Personnel qualification

    Is it possible to add a "Trainee" section under personnel qualifications? There are many technicians who do not have any qualifications yet and it would be advantageous for OCC etc... to be confident on the status of the technician and know to not allow them to take control of a turbine and that only site access is allowed.

  12. Show number of files for a task

    Get the document symbol for the number of files/documents uploaded in a task, so you can get a good overview of what tasks have documents uploaded (i.e Boroscopy reports) without having a separate tracker.

  13. Need a new qualification added on Breeze

    Is it possible to add ‘Competent Person (CP)’ in the dropdown box on Breeze when adding in a qualification after completion of a site induction.

    A CP has more limitations on the tasks they can carry out on the HV/LV system than AP and SAP. A CP id not the same as a CT.

  14. add/copy downtime to multiple days

    At the moment you can add several turbines/assets to a specific downtime but it would be great to also be able to copy or apply a specific planned downtime on multiple days when you have several downtimes with the same time but at different dates. e.g add a planned downtime for 8 hours on monday 08:00 to 16:00 and then be able to copy this and apply also on tuesday or several days.

  15. See Service Contract on Status events in Task

    It would bee really great to be able to see what Service Contract different Status events have in a task. Could it be added as a column under Status events?
    And also the possibility to change the category if needed directly in the task.

  16. Hide "Devices (opt)" during site access at sites with selected WTSR rules

    For sites with selected WTSR rules, the option to choose a device during site access should be hidden. Selecting a device should only be possible at the next step by choosing qualified personell.

  19. Add Show/Hide Toggle to HSE Observations

    Add a 'show/hide' toggle to the 'Add Incident' window in the Plan - HSE section. This would make visible or hide the particular incident in the Site/Device access windows.
    The reason this is necessary is the Site/Device access windows do not display large volumes of HSE observations very well. The option to hide non critical observations will assist Operational Controllers to relay critical HSE observations to technicians, without having to scroll through an excessively long list. The toggle should default to visible, which will maintain the current functionality for other users.

  20. HSE: Add HSE incidents / warnings for all turbines of the same type

    We use the HSE feature mainly to notify the on-site technicians about HSE warnings by the OEMs. These are valid for all turbines of the same type (e.g. Vestas V-112, Enercon E-82 etc), so it would be very helpful to bulk-create and bulk-resolve such warnings for all affected turbine types (side note: as HSE warnings might be country specific, the option of selecting the assets/countries should still exist).
