Our approach to product feedback

Here at Power Factors, we take product feedback extremely seriously. We believe that listening to our customers, team members, and prospects - by taking their ideas on board - is a sure-fire way to build better products.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our products as efficiently as possible.


The benefits of giving us your product feedback

If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our products develop over time. It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best products we possibly can.

What happens to your product feedback

Our product teams meet regularly with the CSMs, to go through new ideas. Once we have verified that an idea isn’t already available in the system, and seems like a good idea, we change the status to Accepting Votes. Then more people can vote, prioritize, and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish impact & value.

If we decide to implement an idea, the status will change to Planned or In Development. When it’s done, the status will change to Delivered. Anyone who has submitted or voted on a specific request will be notified when the status of the request is updated. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

Unfortunately, not all requests are in line with our vision and strategy, so sometimes we reject them. When this happens, the status will be changed to Archived and we’ll add a note to let you know that it won’t be delivered.


How we choose what to implement

When we plan a release, we use many factors to help decide which suggestions to implement, including:

  • Customer feedback - there are many ways we listen for your feedback:
    formal customer interviews and other research activities
    events like conferences and trade shows
    comments and votes on issues here in Greenbyte & BluePoint Influence
  • CSM team insights - our CSM team knows which issues are the most challenging and most common for customers.
  • Product analytics - we track how users move through the system, which helps us understand how existing features are being used.
  • Product strategy - our long-term strategic vision for the products.
If you reach out directly to our support or customer success teams, they'll be able to look up the ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your item will be reviewed.


Custom applications

Sometimes you need functionality that is specific to your needs and not necessarily useful for other customers or in line with Power Factors strategic goals. These special requests are addressed through custom applications, which can be developed by you, using the Greenbyte API, by third-party partners, or by Power Factors for an additional fee. If you are interested in having a custom application built, contact your CSM.

  1. Group Devices between sites for Alerts

    Allow Devices/Inverters/Turbines to be grouped together within and between Sites.

    This is will simplify how setting up multiple Alerts to individual devices between sites for large portfolio.

  2. Add potential power also on site and turbine level

    Currentlu you can see the potential power compared to the actual power when open the app under monitoring. In the list below that on site level and turbine lvele this information is not shown anymore.

    I would be usefull to show this information in the list. even more inportant than the rotor speed.

  3. ROC : Change color for 'Site Access' from blue to red when overdue

    You should be able to see overdue site accesses in the ROC by change of color from blue to red in the ROC as it is done in the sidebar.

  4. Enable users to specify "data start time" for purpose of comparison to budget

    Problem: When new assets are installed the default budget isn't pro-rated for the portion of the year that the assets were actually operating in GEC. This creates the illusion that the assets have severely underperformed when in reality, this is not the case.

    It would be nice to have the ability to specify the time from which the budget should be calculated so that annual performance figures accurately reflect how an asset actually performed.

  6. In Cumulative Production vs Budget graph to add next point in the end of the month

    When you are in analyze mode for a wind farm you can see a graph to the right with “Cumulative Production vs Budget”. In this graph a point for the next month is added when a new month starts. For example in the graph below a you can see that a point for March is added. I think that this gives a wrong impression of the production versus the budget. I you look at the graph you get an impression that the wind farm is below budget for March, but the month isn’t over yet.

    For the months that are not yet completed, the analysis is done with the colors. Blue means that the energy export is above budget up to that date, red means it’s below. The graph will show the cumulative budget at the end of the month, and that can’t be changed.

  8. Weekly Date Format

    Hi,

    I am working on a weekly report, so i have chosen a weekly average resolution for my graph.
    However, there is no date format corresponding to weekly display.
    It would be great if we could have a weekly display for example "Week 1" for the first week of January.

  9. Add the ability to send test notifications

    It would be nice to have a "Send Test Notification" button in the Edit Notification Scheme so that a user has the reassurance the system is operational without having to wait for an actual notification to be triggered.

  10. Include columns for Site and Device ID in Status log

    Unless the site name is contained within the device name, a user cannot see which site a status log event belongs to. Adding columns for Site and Device ID could provide improvement.

  11. Show assignee username instead of 'user' on Plan-Tasks page

    When a Breeze user is selected in the task as assignee it is not shown on the Plan>Tasks page only the wordt user is shown (see attachment). In the task widget on the monitoring dashboard the username is properly shown. Please show the username as well on the Plan>Tasks page.

  12. Work Order Number to be displayed in the Device Access

    A new column to be added between "ID" and "Transferred By" on the Site Access page showing the Work Order Number of the task.

  14. Expand the selection in the sidebar menu to also being able to select outside the text

    When using the three dot menu in the sidebar and hover over the left part (red box) of the menu the on-hover color indicates that clicking would result in opening the Monitor page; however you have the click in the black box in order to really open the monitor page; this behavior is misleading when trying to browse quickly using the sidebar, can pass this on to development?

  15. Scale on Graphs

    Can there be an option to fit all graphs to the same scale on the Y-axis?

    In Data Studio - when you split the graph per aggregate (so each graph is showing the same feeds) the scales are often different - making it difficult to compare. Could you install a toggle (in Settings perhaps) that forces the Y-axis scale to be the same for all graphs?

  16. Running Text Log "Widget" on Dashboard

    We would like the ability to add a running text box on to a dashboard to act as a "notes" or "log" feature. Basically - you can enter in comments - and they input with a time and date stamp - but remain visible - just pushed below the next comment. There is the site notes widget and a log widget - but for the sake of efficiency and ease of use this text should be visible upon loading a dashboard without the need to enter additional pages.   17. Extend filter options in user list

    In our case we have a very long list with users / usergroups under the administration tab. It is only possible to search / filter on username or user e-mail. It is not possible to filter for company name or usergroup. This can be usefull when there is a need to clean the list from users who do not need access anymore. Connected to that it would be usefull to filter the columns "account activated" and "last login" column.

  19. Reports - Display a signal bar table with the energy at grid meter and a CHOSEN budget to have automatically the deviation to budget in %.

    Problem : today - only values from the DEFAULT budget are displayed in the signal bar table in the report section. It would be useful to use the values from chosen budgets. This problem is existing on this particular table - but what makes this table particularly interesting is the the deviation to budget calculation expressed in % which does not exist on other table or charts.

  20. Show last known status of device (when communication is unavailable)

    Where there is no comms - or the system is waiting for data - can you show the last known status/power/wind speed etc in the monitor screen?
