Greenbyte Ideas

Our approach to product feedback

Here at Power Factors, we take product feedback extremely seriously. We believe that listening to our customers, team members, and prospects - by taking their ideas on board - is a sure-fire way to build better products.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our products as efficiently as possible.

The benefits of giving us your product feedback

If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our products develop over time. It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best products we possibly can.

What happens to your product feedback

Our product teams meet regularly with the CSMs, to go through new ideas. Once we have verified that an idea isn’t already available in the system, and seems like a good idea, we change the status to Accepting Votes. Then more people can vote, prioritize, and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish impact & value.

If we decide to implement an idea, the status will change to Planned or In Development. When it’s done, the status will change to Delivered. Anyone who has submitted or voted on a specific request will be notified when the status of the request is updated. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

Unfortunately, not all requests are in line with our vision and strategy, so sometimes we reject them. When this happens, the status will be changed to Archived and we’ll add a note to let you know that it won’t be delivered.

How we choose what to implement

When we plan a release, we use many factors to help decide which suggestions to implement, including:

  • Customer feedback - there are many ways we listen for your feedback:
formal customer interviews and other research activities
events like conferences and trade shows
comments and votes on issues here in Greenbyte & BluePoint Influence
  • CSM team insights - our CSM team knows which issues are the most challenging and most common for customers.
  • Product analytics - we track how users move through the system, which helps us understand how existing features are being used.
  • Product strategy - our long-term strategic vision for the products.
If you reach out directly to our support or customer success teams, they'll be able to look up the ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your item will be reviewed.

Custom applications

Sometimes you need functionality that is specific to your needs and not necessarily useful for other customers or in line with Power Factors strategic goals. These special requests are addressed through custom applications, which can be developed by you, using the Greenbyte API, by third-party partners, or by Power Factors for an additional fee. If you are interested in having a custom application built, contact your CSM.

  1. Change the density adjusted wind speed in Power curve analyzer in Data studio as a setting instead of Default

The new feature with density adjusted wind speed in the power curve widget is great. However, the graph in the data studio gets a bit clogged with both options turned on at the same time. It would be good to have this as a setting instead of including both wind speeds by default, in the same way as scatter is a setting to include in the graph

  2. stop button data studio

Sometimes, you perform an data request in the data studio but it takes a long time to load. you sometimes want to make a change to the data request but you have to wait till the data is loaded.

It would be nice to have a stop button so you can fill in the new variables

  4. Expand Button - entire system

This is a nice feature that should be in the entire system, specially for monitoring dashboards (not obvious which event is active during that moment) and data studio, otherwise you have to go to event log or status categorization to check them.

  5. Make the URL links human readable

Make the URL links human readable, so that I can alter them to adjust the outputs, e.g. for example if I wanted to create a link outside of Greenbyte to refer to show something within Greenbyte

  6. Make it possible to set heatmap upper and lower limits in Data Studio

When creating a Heatmap widget on an Analyze Dashboard, the user can easily fix the scale of the axis, by specifying the upper and/or lower limit.

However, this functionality doesn't existing when creating a heatmap in the Data Studio. This makes it very difficult to compare different temperature signals, since you cannot fix them to the same scale.

This would be a very useful addition to the Data Studio.

  7. MET Mast Data Availability

MET Masts should have a Data availability tag in the Data studio, it is currently quite difficult to validate the integrity of this data.

  8. Filter data based on time of day

Hello, I would like to filter the data based on the timestamp.
In France, we have 2 different noises curtailment - 1 during night period (10PM to 7AM) and the other during day period (7AM to 10PM).
When I display the PC during 1 year, it includes all timestamps, but in my case, I may only require the night/day period during this whole year.

Thanks for your feedback, this is a great request. It’s open for voting from other users.

  9. Enable filter in Data Studio for WT-types

I'm missing the option to filter on WT-types in Data Studio. We have a great variety of WT-bands and WT-types. Therefore it would be great to be able to filter in order to ease the evaluation within certain WT-types.

  10. 30 minute resolution data, this would match how revenue meter data is supplied

I want to see 30 minute resolution data, this would match how revenue meter data is supplied and could be compared directly against SCADA for anomalies

  11. Add 'Year to date' and 'all' time selector

I feel like existing Data Studio pre-default time selectors are not enough to cover all most typical situations. I end up selecting a 'year to date' custom period very often, so it would be very good to have that in place.
Also, for verification purposes it would be nice to have an 'all time' time selector, which will take all data available since TimestampStart of the device to date.

  12. Power Curve Analyzyer- pls change colours

    Power Curves
Please use colours that are more distinguished in difference. As it is now it is very hard to see difference between learned PC in light blue and Best Fit in slightly darker blue.
Neither curves nor scatter plot gets clear enough to actually see any difference! See attached picture.
    Thanks & regards :-)

  14. Counter of status code per WTG

It will be quite interesting to see how often a certain alarm code occurs in a wind turbine.
Currently there is no counter in the status log or Data studio in order to generate an overview of number of occurances for a particular status code.

  15. data studio zoom

When you do a zoom in Data Studio, make that zoom applicable to all charts and not only the "over time" ones.

  16. Downtime per category trend per month (KPI monitoring)

Downtime hours per category or production loss per category can be displayed for a selected period. This selected period does not have a resoluition setting option. E.g. when selecting the period 2019 I like to see per month the hours and lossed production per category. A filter can be applied to the category in order to keep the graph or table readable.

  17. Learned health monitor

Include a learned health monitor function similar to the learned power curve. Meaning to learn the temperature to power relation of various components. Then be able to compare easier between WTGs and even set alarms based on this.

  18. Data Studio - Convenient Time Interval Selector

In the same way you can conveniently select 'Year' or 'Month' in the 'Analyse - Portfolio' section - you should be able to do the same in 'Data Studio'. Currently you can only select Last 7 Days - Last 30 Days - Last 12 months or Custom Interval.
